This is a favorite place of mine on St. Simon's. Truly, a hole in the wall place, but a great find. Their deep dish is my go to. It's thick with a crispy edge, yet also airy. It's amazing! I've been trying their different specialty pizzas and I haven't had one yet that I didn't like. The staff is very friendly.

Friendly service. We ordered to go and will definitely be back. I highly recommend the marghartia pizza and the Greek salad.

No. I spent over 100 dollars for the kids to eat. They were starving. We were told it was going to be an hour...nope. then another 20 minutes, nope, still longer. Finally got it and it was COLD. 3 PIZZAS, one spaghetti, one small lasagna, one salad, and 2 breadsticks orders. We picked it up. One pizza burned.

This was a delicious pizza spot!!! Food was amazing and had a quirky atmosphere that made it fun. Will definitely be back when we visit the area again!!!

We were staying in Saint Simon's Island and saw an ad for CJ's at our hotel. We stopped for some groceries at a local store and inquired about CJ's, several people chimed how great the food was, so we decided to try. The cheese sticks were super cheesy, the sausage pizza had crumbled sausage on top, which was fantastic, the plain pizza was excellent as well. Upon arriving the restaurant, it was packed, which is always a good sign. We took our order to go. Very friendly staff, excellent food, and an awesome inside decor. Highly recommended!

We moved to SSI recently so we’re going through the local restaurants little by little. Found this hole in the wall gem a couple of weeks ago. I haven’t had the pizza yet, but my wife has ordered the pasta both times. Kind of a build your own pasta type menu with their own specialties added in. I’ve had the CJs special sandwich both times. I highly recommend trying this on your first trip. I love it so much I haven’t tried anything else on their menu yet. It is a very small place so take out is the most ideal, especially if you have a big party.Update 7/28- had the deep dish “special”. I’m traditionally a thin crust guy, but man, their Detroit deep dish is where it’s at.

This is a small pizza and Italian restaurant that only seats approximately 50-60 people. The service was great and the food was awesome ! The cheese bread sticks with marinara sauce was excellent and the pizza was one of the best I have ever had. The employees were all very helpful and friendly. They offer draft or bottled beer , wine tea and sodas. Highchairs are available for little ones. The restaurant is right in the middle of the shopping area and only 3 minutes from the pier.

Got take out on New Year’s Day while husband watched games. The young woman who said she and her husband were the owners was Great. She made suggestions about pizza and salad. Got me a drink while I waited. She was friendly and helpful. My husband and I really enjoyed the pizza and salad and bread. Wonderful experience

The very best deep dish pizza I've ever had in my life. Just ordered the baked spaghetti last night and it was amazing also. It came with breadsticks and a side salad. I've also had their Greek salad and it was so good. I ate their house dressing with both salads and its delicious. Will definitely be back to try some of their chicken pasta dishes.

I absolutely LOVE this place. The pizza is amazing and the funky decor is cool too. This is an undiscovered gem.

I really like this restaurant, but their pilot light shut off last night and my food tasted horrible. It's good any other time. Disappointed that u had to pay full price for food not cooked correctly and we couldn't even eat...

Terrible, Terrible restaurant that delivered us 2 burnt pizzas 3 hours after we ordered it. The pizzas that were delivered were small, misshapen and seemed like they were put together by toddlers. Reading some of these other reviews leads to believe that most of them are paid actors and not real. Beware. Stay far far away.The owner should be embarrassed to put out such a terrible product.

Picked up my carryout upon arrival home I immediately saw that the extra topping for anchovies was missing and the pizza was a deep dish special with a very burnt crust all the way around which unfortunately made the flavor of everything taste like it was burnt. Not good value for the money with a Medium you only get six small square pieces and pay price $20+ with one extra topping. Hadn't been here in years , was looking forward to it, will never be back.

Foos was okay. Place was super small. Very small dining area with people bumping into diners every time they got up. No room to walk back and forth from table

The Pizza was really good. However the Chicken Parm dinner was disappointing. They used baked chicken instead of breaded.... which was different touch but the chicken looked to be overcooked. It was dry and chewy. Pasta and red sauce was delicious however.

I've been going here for 12 years. My only negative is their sodas are way too weak on the syrup. The coke is undrinkable and I drink unsweetened tea with everything except pizza, so my tastebuds definitely aren't desensitized to the flavor. I can't believe we are the only ones that have mentioned it, but no effort appears to have been made to correct the situation.

I visit the island every year and eat at Cj’s. It’s delicious every time.

Come here on a whim while at the beach. Will absolutely become a new destination for me and my family. Absolutely delicious food and wonderful staff!!! I will drive an hour to eat here!!

Dear Mellow Mushroom,Thank you for ignoring our call for takeout. Even though you are closer, CJ’s is so much better and worth the walk. We just finished CJ’s Chicken Athens pizza and it was perfect! We have eaten in before, tonight was our first takeout. We are big fans and will be back!

Great pizza! Some of the best I’ve ever had!

This is the best pizza I have ever had. I can't wait to go back to SSI just to have it. When I asked why it was so good they said it's because they make their pizza dough fresh from scratch everyday unlike most places that premake it and store it in fridge or freezer.

Detroit style deep dish pizza, hand tossed pizza, fresh salads, sandwiches, pastas, breadsticks, the marinara, the meatballs, the homemade salad dressings, all the fresh cut toppings and doughs made fresh daily in house, the cheese, the garlic, the love.

WOW the deep dish pizzas were astoundingly good. The service was great and the water was filtered better than most and didnt have that sulfur smell. Awesome tiny restaurant that has call in orderd for carry out too.

Pizza places in St Simmons Islands have some good ratings so you cannot go wrong with the food around here. Was recommended the Mellow Mushroom however CJ's was around the corner from my hotel. Placed a takeout order and was told 45 minutes. When I arrived, it was a nice little quaint spot for food. The waitresses were nice and friendly. Overall the food was pretty good. Reason for the 3 star rating is that when I arrived to pick up the food, my pasta was on the counter but was told my pizza was still finishing up. So I sat down near the cooks. After sitting for 15 minutes, one of the waitresses said she'd check on my order. It appears it was finished but rather than telling me it was done, the guys just let me sit there. The second problem was that my pasta was sitting on the counter (nowhere near anything that would keep it warm). When back at my room it was cold. Got it I am just a tourist, but I'm sure we provide quite a bit of your business.

Awesome service! Very, very family friendly! The waitress brought us some dough for the kids to play with while we waited for our pizza. The gluten free pizza was delicious! Not Udi's like a lot of pizza places; it's a cauliflower crust that tastes just like the real thing! Would definitely come back every time we are in St. Simon's!

Salad was pretty but not good flavor. Lasagna was good, but I have had better. Pizza was really good, and marinara sauce was the bomb.
